Construction Update - August 2025

It’s been a busy few weeks here at the Sunshine Coast Equine Hospital site, and we’re excited to share the latest progress with you.

The isolation building is moving along beautifully, with all the blockwork and framing complete, and the roof due to be installed in the coming weeks. The external cladding on the main hospital building is still being finalised, while our feed and podiatry shed is also taking shape as the cladding goes up. It’s wonderful to see the hospital come to life piece by piece.

Behind the scenes, we’ve also been hard at work making decisions on the key veterinary fit-out items that will complete the hospital and ensure we’re ready to provide the very best care from day one. Recruitment is another exciting area of focus – our process for building the veterinary team is well underway, and we are now actively recruiting for veterinary nurses/technicians. If you are still eager to be part of the team, this is the perfect time to apply.

Of course, not everything happening right now involves concrete, steel, or horses. We’re also working through the less glamorous but equally vital administrative tasks – from refining policies and procedures to setting up systems that will keep the hospital running smoothly. They may not be as photogenic as framing or cladding, but they are essential building blocks for the hospital’s future.

Like any major project, the journey of building a hospital has its ups and downs. But every step brings us closer to opening our doors, and we truly cannot wait to welcome you and the wider equine community once we’re ready to provide services.

In the meantime thank-you for your continued interest and support.
