Construction Update - June 2025
Big Milestones and Bigger Excitement
As winter settles in across the Sunshine Coast, construction at the Sunshine Coast Equine Hospital continues to charge ahead—even if the mornings have been a little extra crisp lately!
Thankfully, the recent cold front brought with it some dry weather, which has allowed our construction team to make solid progress. Electricians have been busy roughing in an extensive network of lighting, power points, data cabling, and of course, air conditioning. For a facility of this scale, it’s a major undertaking—and it’s exciting to see it all coming together.
Over in the isolation unit, blockwork is well underway, shaping one of the many essential areas designed to support safe, advanced care in all situations—from standard consultations to complex emergencies.
We’ve also hit a few more big milestones onsite:
• The much-needed water tanks have been installed.
• The stable block roof is now on—another step closer to welcoming horses through our doors!
And while the building takes shape, things are moving just as quickly behind the scenes…
Veterinary recruitment is officially underway!
We’re currently recruiting veterinarians—including both specialists and associate veterinarians—to be part of our founding team. This marks a huge and exciting moment for the hospital, and we’re looking to connect with people who share our values: service, compassion, excellence, honesty, and teamwork. If you’re passionate about equine care and ready to be part of something special, we’d love to hear from you.
For veterinary nurses and technicians—stay tuned!
We’ll be kicking off recruitment for nursing and support roles towards the end of July, and we can’t wait to start building the rest of our amazing team.
As always thanks for your ongoing interest in the Sunshine Coast Equine Hospital. We look forward sharing more information with you as we continue developing the hospital and the team.
