Construction Update October 2025 - Racing Towards The Finishing Line..

Someone recently commented on one of our Facebook posts: “Longest build ever.” No lies there — it’s felt that way for us too! What began as a marathon — a long, steady race — somehow turned into an ultra. We’ve kept putting one foot in front of the other, tackling every challenge along the way. But now, it finally feels like we’ve hit our stride and are racing towards the finish line.

With a diverse team of trades on site, the hospital is truly taking shape. The plasterers are wrapping up their work, and the painters are getting ready to bring the interiors to life. Our electrical team continues to power through what is no small feat — connecting the vast network that will keep the hospital running.

Over the long weekend, our cabinet makers were unstoppable — installing over 140 cabinets throughout the hospital to make sure there’s plenty of storage in every corner. The plumbers have also been hard at work, completing most of their rough-in, including connecting our enormous water tanks (now we’re just waiting for a good downpour to test them out!).

Outside, the civil team has been focused on improving access to the hospital, including new turning treatments to make entry safer and easier for clients — and staff. To our local community who use this road regularly, thank you for your patience while this work is underway. It won’t be long now before it’s all complete.

Behind the scenes, recruitment is in full swing. Our specialist team is confirmed, and we’re now building out our associate veterinarian team. We’ve also had an incredible response to our nursing and technician positions, with interviews about to begin.
