Our experienced and caring team offer all equine services to ensure the health and well-being of your equine companion.
Surgery
With specialist surgeons, our surgical facilities allow us to perform both routine and advanced procedures, from arthroscopy and fracture repair to soft tissue operations. Every surgery is supported by skilled anaesthetists, nursing team and aftercare.
When urgent situations arise, such as colic, dystocia or traumatic injuries, our surgical team is ready to respond with life-saving procedures. We prioritise rapid intervention to give your horse the best chance at recovery.
A designated room with appropriate and safe stocks allows standing surgery to also be performed.
We also have access to laparoscopic surgery. Minimally invasive "keyhole" surgery reduces recovery time and post-operative discomfort. Common procedures include cryptorchid castration, ovarian removal, and abdominal explorations.
We have a dedicated team to care for surgical patients before and after surgery, including overnight and on weekends.
Hospitalisation and Internal Medicine
With a dedicated Equine Internal Medicine specialist we have the ability to perform and manage all types of internal medicine cases, both emergency and routine - from respiratory and cardiology disease to neurological assessments to investigations of chronic colic and weight loss.
The hospital is also well equipped to manage intensive and emergency patients, including colitis, colic, neonatal foals and any horse that requires intravenous fluids. We have a dedicated team 24/7 to care for these patients in intensive care.
Laboratory diagnostics
We have access to in-house diagnostics including haematology, biochemistry, faecal egg counts and cytology. For more advanced clinical pathological samples we send to local reference laboratories.
Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation
Lameness is one of the most common issues in horses. Our team uses thorough lameness examinations, diagnostic anaesthesia and imaging (radiographs and ultrasound) to identify the root cause of discomfort and create a tailored treatment plan to restore soundness and performance.
We also offer structured rehabilitation programs for horses recovering from injury or surgery. Each program is tailored with physiotherapy, controlled exercise, and regular reassessment to ensure optimal recovery.
Poor performance is common. When your horse isn’t performing as expected, we conduct a thorough investigation into orthopaedic, respiratory, metabolic, and training-related factors to uncover and address the underlying issues.
General and Preventative Care
Our experiences equine veterinarians also perform routine and general care including health assessments, vaccinations and dental examinations.
