Join an exceptional new purpose-built equine hospital and be part of a collaborative, specialist-led team dedicated to setting a new benchmark in equine healthcare.
We are looking for an additional associate veterinarian to join our team.
The Role
Sunshine Coast Equine Hospital (SCEH) is seeking a motivated and preferably experienced Associate Equine Veterinarian to join our growing team ahead of our hospital opening in January 2026.
This is a unique opportunity to work within a hospital-based environment alongside specialists, experienced veterinarians, and a skilled nursing team, all committed to delivering the highest standards of care for horses in the region and beyond.
As an Associate Veterinarian, you will be involved in a diverse and stimulating caseload—providing medical, surgical, reproduction and emergency care while contributing to the growth of a new hospital that values excellence, compassion, and teamwork.
About You
We are looking for a versatile, practical team player who takes pride in delivering the best possible outcomes for patients and clients. You will thrive in a team environment and value collaboration and mutual respect.
Qualifications & Experience:
BVSc, DVM, or equivalent veterinary degree.
Eligible for registration with the Veterinary Surgeons Board of Queensland.
Current Australian work rights.
At least 1–2 years’ experience in equine practice (or a strong internship background) would be preferred, however new graduates with equine experience will be considered.
Special interests in dentistry, reproduction, sports medicine or general practice would be highly regarded.
Confident managing routine and emergency cases.
Excellent communication, organisational, and teamwork skills.
A genuine passion for ongoing professional development and clinical excellence.
Why Join Us?
This is a unique chance to be part of something from the very beginning. At the Sunshine Coast Equine Hospital, you won’t just be joining a team - you’ll be helping to shape the culture, standards, and experience of a brand new equine hospital.
